The enhanced rider scheme (ERS) has been designed to help experienced and new riders alike.
The professional tutors, who are all approved motorcycle instructors in their own right; will provide training that can enhance your skills on the road or give those with no riding experience an insight into improving your awareness and bike handling skills.
Your instructor will ask you about your riding history and experience before offering an assessment ride.
This gives them the opportunity to look at every aspect of your riding, from cornering to how well you stay on track when turning, slow control and planning/awareness.
Cornering, overtaking and bend assessment are all skills that ERS trainers can work on with you. The severity of the bends is something many people don’t know until they’re in it! It would feel so much better knowing how to overtake safely before getting into trouble or having your strategy fall apart because you didn’t have time to execute an overtake properly.
The ERS is a great way to get back into riding after you take some time off, or just want your health checked. It’s also perfect for anyone upgrading from an older bike with lower power and torque figures – it’ll make sure that any future upgrades are still safe under close inspection! The Driving Standards Agency (DSA) has partnered up again this year in supporting both motorcyclists’ needs as well as those who need their licences re-tested at minimal cost due out next month; don’t miss out either because registration opens soon so register now if interested before spaces run low on all courses nationwide throughout 2021 and 2022.
If you’re ready to ride, simply book with us and if your assessment is satisfactory we will issue an ERS certificate. If training though is needed then our rider development plan can help concentrate on the specific areas in need of attention; once completed this report along with a DSA Certificate of Competence—Enhanced Rider Bonus–which qualifies for some great benefits!
The ERS training course is an enjoyable and fun way to learn. With the help of a friendly instructor, you’ll find that even after taking time off from riding for whatever reason – injury or illness-you’re still able get back on track quickly!
The beauty in this type of learning environment comes with fully qualified instructors who can offer advanced skills while maintaining professionalism at all times so your experience will always be positive no matter what stage we are working towards together as riders/ Instructors .
Once you’ve completed your ERS qualification, the next step is to take an advanced test. Both IAM and RoSPA organize ride outs with a view of putting forward candidates for these tests that are waiting in line! By going through this course thoroughly it should give yourself more chance when applying so they can accept what skillset only takes one hour each day over two weeks or less than 3 days total which includes studying material from lectures given during weekdays as well as some weekend driving time spent on-the road practicing exercises learned earlier about different types vehicles/traffic situations like overtake scenarios
